Summary of Decision:

On April 10, 2018, the Discipline Committee found that Dr. Khan committed the following act of professional misconduct:

  •  being found guilty of an offence relevant to the registrant’s suitability to practice.

 

On May 29, 2020, the Discipline Committee ordered and directed on the matter of penalty and costs that there shall be no penalty imposed on the registrant in this matter, and no order that the registrant pay costs to the College.

 

On June 23, 2020, the College filed a Notice of Appeal with the Divisional Court appealing the Discipline Committee’s order dated May 29, 2020.  

 

On March 4, 2021, Dr. Khan entered into an undertaking with the College resigning his certificate of registration and agreeing never to apply or re-apply as a physician in Ontario.

On May 29, 2020, after having found Dr. Khan engaged in professional misconduct, the Discipline Committee of the College released reasons on penalty. The College commenced an appeal of the Discipline Committee’s penalty decision. Dr. Khan resigned from the College and has agreed never to apply or reapply for registration as a physician in Ontario.
