Summary of the Undertaking given by Dr. Maan Malouf to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, effective February 28, 2026:
 
Dr. Malouf was referred to the Discipline Tribunal on allegations of professional misconduct. The allegations were 1) that the governing body of a health profession in a jurisdiction other than Ontario had made a finding of professional misconduct or a similar finding against Dr. Malouf, based on facts which would be an act of professional misconduct in Ontario, and 2) that he engaged in conduct or an act or omission relevant to the practice of medicine that, having regard to all the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by members as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional. In the face of these allegations, Dr. Malouf resigned from the College and has agreed never to apply or reapply for registration as a physician in Ontario.

On February 9, 2023, the Disciplinary Council of the Collège des Médecins du Québec (College of Physicians of Quebec) (CMQ) found Dr. Maan Malouf guilty of 3 counts of offences based on violating sections 32, 46 and 47 of the Code of Ethics of Physicians and section 59.2 of the Professional Code. These offences related to clinical issues.

The CMQ Disciplinary Council ordered Dr. Malouf to be struck off the CMQ roll for a total of 15 months.

Dr. Malouf appealed the decision of the Disciplinary Council.  On July 25, 2024, the Tribunal des Professions dismissed Dr. Malouf’s appeal.

CPSO was notified of this finding by a report dated August 9, 2024.
