On March 12, 2020, the Discipline Committee found that Dr. Attallah committed the following act of professional misconduct:

•  engaging in an act or omission relevant to the practice of medicine that, having regard to all the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by registrants as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional.

On September 10, 2020, the Discipline Committee ordered that:  

1. the registrant attend before the panel to be reprimanded; 

2. the Registrar revoke the registrant’s certificate of registration effective immediately; and

3. the registrant pay the College costs in the amount of $124,440 within 6 months of the date of the order.

On September 14, 2020, Dr. Attallah filed a Notice of Appeal with the Divisional Court appealing the Discipline Committee’s finding and order dated March 12, 2020 and September 10, 2020, respectively. 

As set out in s. 71 of the Health Professions Procedural Code, this order remains in effect despite the appeal.

On May 25, 2021, the Divisional Court dismissed Dr. Attallah 's appeal for reasons provided in Attallah v. College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, ONSC 3722. https://canlii.ca/t/jg2wj.

On June 9, 2021, Dr. Attallah filed a Notice of Motion with the Court of Appeal for Ontario for leave to appeal the Divisional Court’s decision dated May 25, 2021. 

On November 10, 2021, the Court of Appeal for Ontario dismissed Dr. Attallah’s motion for leave to appeal.
