As from December 2, 2025, by order of the Discipline Committee of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the following terms, conditions and limitations are imposed on the certificate of registration held by Dr. Faez Faruqi:
I. Dr. Faruqi shall participate in and successfully complete, without condition or qualification and at his own expense, the PROBE Ethics & Boundaries Program offered by the Centre for Personalized Education for Professionals. Dr. Faruqi will complete the PROBE program within six (6) months of the date of this Order or, if it is not available within that timeframe, at the earliest available opportunity. Dr. Faruqi will provide proof of his successful completion to the College, including proof of registration and attendance and participant assessment reports, within one (1) month of completing it.

On December 1, 2025, the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal found that Dr. Faruqi committed the following act of professional misconduct:
- engaging in an act or omission relevant to the practice of medicine that, having regard to all the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by registrants as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional.
On the same date, the Tribunal ordered that:
- the registrant attend before the panel to be reprimanded;
- the Registrar suspend the registrant’s certificate of registration for 2 months commencing December 2, 2025 at 12:01 a.m.;
- the Registrar place terms, conditions and limitations on the registrant’s certificate of registration; and
- the registrant pay the College costs in the amount of $6,000 by January 1, 2026.

On April 12, 2024, the Disciplinary Board of the Collège des Médecins du Québec (College of Physicians of Quebec) (CMQ) found Dr. Faez Faruqi guilty of 16 counts of offences under the Professional Code, the Code of Ethics for Physicians and the Regulation respecting the compensation fund of the CMQ. These offences related to concerns involving advertising, referral and remuneration of paid egg donations in the United States and confidentiality concerns.
On April 12, 2024, the Disciplinary Board of the Collège des Médecins du Québec (College of Physicians of Quebec) (CMQ) found Dr. Faez Faruqi guilty of 16 counts of offences under the Professional Code, the Code of Ethics for Physicians and the Regulation respecting the compensation fund of the CMQ. These offences related to concerns involving advertising, referral and remuneration of paid egg donations in the United States and confidentiality concerns.
The CMQ Disciplinary Board ordered Dr. Faruqi to be struck off the CMQ Order for three months and a total fine of $15,000. CPSO was notified of this finding by a report dated April 12, 2024.
