Bail Conditions
On August 2, 2023, the following Bail Conditions were imposed on Cindy Ly, and varied on November 17, 2023, July 5, 2024, and March 25, 2026:
1. Remain in Ontario except for travel within Canada, for which Ly will advise Police at least two weeks before travel to provide dates of departure and return and except for specified travel overseas, with specified conditions.
2. Ly must not reapply for a passport or any other travel permits or documents except for a one-time application and possession solely for specified travel. Ly must surrender the passport to Police within 48 hours of her return.
3. Ly must not contact or communicate in any way either directly or indirectly, by any physical, electronic or other means, with named persons except in the presence of or through legal counsel.
4. Ly must not be in any place where they know any of the named persons to live, work, go to school, frequent or any place they know the person to be except for required court appearances and except in the presence of or through legal counsel.
5. Ly must not attend the following locations: Billy Bishop Airport located at 2 Eireaan Quay, Toronto; Buttonville Municipal Airport located at 2833 16th Avenue, Markham; Downsview Airport located at 123 Garratt Blvd, Toronto with specified exception.
6. Ly must not be in possession of any non prescription drugs or Marijuana or its derivatives in any form except in her professional capacity.
7. Ly must report in-person on the first Tuesday of every month to Hamilton Police Service.
8. Ly must report every Thursday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM through a landline to the reporting service – Bail Compliance Unit.
