Past Tribunal Proceedings (1)
On February 9, 2026, the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal found that Dr. Konasiewicz committed the following acts of professional misconduct:
failing to maintain the standard of practice of the profession;
contravening a term, condition or limitation on the registrant’s certificate of registration; and
engaging in an act or omission relevant to the practice of medicine that, having regard to all the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by registrants as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional.
On the same date, the Tribunal ordered that:
the registrant attend before the panel to be reprimanded;
the Registrar suspend the registrant’s certificate of registration for 6 months commencing February 10, 2026 at 12:01 a.m.;
the Registrar place terms, conditions and limitations on the registrant’s certificate of registration; and
the registrant pay the College costs in the amount of $6,000 by March 9, 2026.
The "Download Full Decision" link provides the Tribunal’s decision and any reprimand. All published OPSDT reasons are available at www.canlii.org/en/on/onpsdt/.

Effective May 12, 2025, the Inquiries, Complaints and Report Committee (ICRC) made an interim order directing the Registrar to suspend the certificate of registration of Dr. Stefan Joseph Konasiewicz under section 25.4(7).
A summary of a decision of the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee in which the disposition includes a "caution-in-person" is required by the College by-laws to be posted on the register, along with a note if the decision has been appealed. A “caution-in-person” disposition requires the physician to attend at the College and be verbally cautioned by a panel of the Committee. The summary will be removed from the register if the decision is overturned on appeal or review. Note that this requirement only applies to decisions arising out of a complaint dated on or after January 1, 2015, or if there was no complaint, the first appointment of investigators dated on or after January 1, 2015.
See PDF for the summary of a decision made against this member in which the disposition includes a Caution-in-Person:
