Summary of Decision:
In its reasons released on August 21, 2025, the Tribunal found that Dr. Ola engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable, or unprofessional conduct by violating boundaries with Patients A, B, and C; and by deliberately billing OHIP for services that were not rendered, not clinically indicated, and did not meet the Schedule of Benefits criteria.

In addition, the Tribunal found that Dr. Ola failed to maintain the standard of practice of the profession in his care of Patients A, B and C.

A penalty hearing was held on November 12, 2025, after which the Tribunal reserved its decision on penalty. The panel’s reasons for decision on penalty were released on December 18, 2025. The Tribunal ordered that: 
  • the registrant appear before the panel to be reprimanded;
  • the Registrar revoke the registrant’s certificate of registration effective December 19, 2025 at 12:01 a.m;
  • the registrant pay a fine of $35,000 to the Minister of Finance by January 19, 2026; and
  • the registrant pay the College costs in the amount of $51,850 by January 19, 2026.
