On December 6, 2021, the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal found that Dr. Abrahim committed the following acts of professional misconduct:
engaging in an act or omission relevant to the practice of medicine that, having regard to all the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by registrants as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional; and
the governing body of another health profession in Ontario, or the governing body of a health profession in a jurisdiction other than Ontario, has found that the member committed an act of professional misconduct that would, in the opinion of the panel, be an act of professional misconduct under this section or an act of professional misconduct as defined in the regulations.
On the same date, the Tribunal ordered that:
the registrant attend before the panel to be reprimanded;
the Registrar suspend the registrant’s certificate of registration for 2 months commencing December 7, 2021 at 12:01 a.m.;
the Registrar place terms, conditions and limitations on the registrant’s certificate of registration; and
the registrant pay the College costs in the amount of $6,000 by January 6, 2022.
